Catalina Wiseman, Ph.D.

Clinical Project Manager

Dr. Catalina Wiseman is an experienced clinical trial professional, specializing in medical devices. She has over 8 years of combined experience in project management, clinical trials, and basic research. Prior to joining Sigrid in October 2021 as a clinical project manager, she held positions at the renowned cardiology department at Pitié-Salpêtrière Hospital in Paris, the Grenoble Institute of Neuroscience, and most recently at the Danish medical device manufacturer Coloplast where she followed clinical studies of medical devices in cardiology, neurology, and urology respectively.

Catalina was born and raised in Medellin, Colombia where she obtained a B.Sc. in chemical engineering from the Universidad de Antioquia. From there she moved to France and achieved a Ph.D. in Physiology, Physiopathology, and Pharmacology from the Université Joseph Fourier in Grenoble. Since then, she has brought her rigorous scientific background to the exciting field of clinical trials. At Sigrid, Catalina manages the clinical trial that will meaningfully demonstrate that SiPore21™ reduces blood sugar levels in pre-diabetics and newly diagnosed type-2 diabetics.
