Xia Wang joined Sigrid as a temporary Material Chemist for the development of Sigrid’s SiPore® platform technology.
Xia Wang has a PhD degree in Materials Chemistry (2022). She did her Ph.D study in Prof. Nikals Hedin’s research group at Department of Materials and Environmental Chemistry at Stockholm University. Her thesis was on ‘Assemblies of Colloidal Hydrochar Nanoparticles and their Derived Activated Carbons for CO2 Sorption’. The PhD project was a part of the GreenCarbon, funded by the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under the Marie Skłodowska Curie grant.
Xia Wang has been working on transmission electron microscopes since 2013. She started to be trained to use Electron energy loss spectroscopy during her PhD for both for her own project and supporting others.
